Giang Tran

Style:

In 2024, Giang shattered the Saigon Tattoo Convention with 7 awards, competing in all categories, unafraid of challenges. Moving into 2025, he added another 3 explosive wins at the Saigon Tattoo Expo. But behind those trophies is a heartfelt thanks to his "second home" – Recycle Tattoo – where Giang toiled for 9 years, a place as close as blood and flesh. It's a place where they climbed each step together, celebrated the highs, and endured the pains in the dark corners of the soul.

For the Recycle Team, awards aren't about dominating anyone, but about an internal battle – pouring out all emotions onto each line of ink, punching themselves to find a way out. [X] cherishes the spiritual values, where art is a liberating cry, breaking chains, painting freedom with sweat and the most authentic scars.

"I was a complete tattoo newbie, absolutely terrified for my first tattoo. From the moment I walked in, Giang was a total legend. So calming and reassuring. He really listened to my concerns and made the whole process so easy. I honestly can't stop looking at it.”

"Giang got what I was going for with my design. The tattoo came out awesome, exactly how I pictured it, and it's healing really well too. Ty Giang!”

  • Karl K.

“Absolutely no complaints about my experience and will definitely be coming back for more work in the future."

“Searched best studio in Saigon and found Recycle tattoo. Best spot and artist. Much love from Germany.”

And here is a confession from A.N.D – a guy immersed in the tattooing trade: On this journey, I’m not afraid to say straight up that up to this moment, it’s all just been a series of constant stumbles. But thanks to patience – like a flash of light – I realized: if you don’t fall, you’ll forever stand still, letting fear lock your feet in place, never daring to take the next step.

For me, tattooing is a world drenched in color, where every artist is a creative madman, using lines and styles to tell their life story in the most “artistic” way possible. What captivates me about this craft is the natural law it carries:

“Nothing lasts forever” – or, to put it another way, as a line I’ve etched into my mind: “Only change is constant.” Think about it: when you tattoo something onto someone, it lives with them, right? As long as we breathe, it burns bright; when we’re gone, it fades away too – a natural cycle, as beautiful as life itself.
