Many people have wondered whether becoming a tattoo artist requires natural talent. I often just smile because those who ask this question don’t fully understand the profession.
An artist emerges from the heart; talent is a gift from above, but to become a true tattoo artist, one needs diligent practice and a level of perseverance that few can endure. Puch came to Recycle in this kind of uncertain state, uncertain even about his life direction. Everyone's youth has moments like that. Experiences and growth are magical things, bringing more depth to your work, making it more refined through varied lines and shapes. Your art carries an essence of classic Asian style, refreshed with a modern touch.
Recycle and Puch have had two years of practice and over seven years working together, enough to know what’s next and where we’re headed...
Puch – Modern Asian Style
One of the earliest tattoo artists at Recycle, Phuc began learning and practicing tattooing in 2010 when this art form first started growing in Vietnam. Even though he now has his own studio, Phuc remains dedicated to honing his skills to stay aligned with global trends. In 2015, he continued learning under BinX and has remained with Recycle to this day. Here, [X] helped Puch channel his skills and passion to transform traditional motifs into more modern creations with distinct lines and colors in the Asian style.
“Every tattooist has their own specialty. I always share in detail about my style, technique, and previous work to help clients consider carefully before entrusting me with their skin. That’s the first crucial factor when choosing a tattoo artist.”
“For me personally, when the total number of tattoo hours you’ve completed surpasses 20, then you’re truly someone passionate about tattooing and incredibly strong.” - Puch
